Rusty Dean was an alias for Gary Paxton.

He released 4 LPs on the Alshire label between 1969 and 1972, which featured Clarence White and Gene Parsons.

Better late than never, I just learned that some of the tracks from these LPs were made available on CD and as downloadable files as "early" as 2009 (on Amazon and iTunes and more) as "Studio 102 Essentials", remastered from the original Alshire tapes.

Thomas Aubrunner from Austria has published his new version of the Burrito family tree.

A music player has been added so you can start reading the page while you listen to excerpts of Burrito songs.

A picture of most Burrito-related albums has also been added (no bootlegs).

Finally, there’s a NEW picture of the first Burrito DeLuxe line-up.

Thanks and congratulation to Thomas.

David Crosby, Gene Clark and Jim McGuinn

Chris Hillman, David Crosby (face hidden by Hillman's bass) and Gene Clark's trousers...

These pictures were taken at a Byrds concert at Palos Verdes High School on October 29, 1965.

They were provided to us by Toulouse Engelhardt who opened for the band during their last tour in early 1973. Many thanks to him.

Visit Toulouse's website here:

Thanks for pointing out the year error (1965, not 1966)
